CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The final seeding for the Patriot League Women’s Basketball Tournament will be determined after Wednesday’s regular-season finales. All ten positions are up for grabs, however, Army West Point and Bucknell have secured home games in the quarterfinals as either the No. 1 or 2 seed.

Lafayette will host Bucknell to kick off the day’s contests, which will air on the Patriot League Network and American Sports Network at 6 p.m. The other four games – Army at Boston University; Holy Cross at Loyola Maryland; Lehigh at Colgate; Navy at American -- will also be broadcast on the Patriot League Network but will begin at 7 p.m.

Lehigh cannot drop lower than the No. 4 seed and will therefore host a quarterfinal game. On the flip side, Navy can only reach as high as the No. 5 seed and will be on the road for the quarterfinal round. Loyola Maryland and Holy Cross will be playing for the final home game but both have the potential to finish as low as the No. 6 seed.

The 2016 Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament begins with the first round on Saturday, followed by the quarterfinals on March 7, semifinals on March 11 and championship on March 12. All games are played at the site of the highest remaining seed, with the first round and quarterfinals on Patriot League Network and the semifinals and championship shown on CBS Sports Network.

Army West Point/Bucknell: The Black Knights and Bison will be either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. If one of the teams lose, the other will be the No. 1 seed and the one who finished 16-2 will be the No. 2 seed. If both of the teams win, the tiebreak will come down to highest RPI rating by College Basketball News. If both teams lose, Army would be the No. 1 seed and Bucknell would be No. 2 due to the Black Knight’s record against Lafayette.

Lehigh/Loyola Maryland/Holy Cross/Navy: If the Mountain Hawks win and the Greyhounds defeat the Crusaders, Lehigh will be the No. 3 seed, Loyola will be the No. 4 seed, and Holy Cross will be the No. 5 seed if Navy loses – if Navy wins then the Midshipmen will be the No. 5 seed (because of their split with Loyola) and Holy Cross would be the No. 6 seed.

If the Mountain Hawks win and the Crusaders defeat the Greyhounds, Lehigh will be the No. 3 seed (because of their sweep of Loyola), Holy Cross will be the No. 4 seed, and Loyola will be the No. 5 seed if Navy loses – if Navy wins then the Midshipmen will be the No. 5 seed (because of their split with Lehigh) and Loyola would be the No. 6 seed.

If the Crusaders defeat the Greyhounds, Lehigh will earn the No. 4 seed and Loyola will be the No. 5 seed if Navy loses – if Navy wins then the Midshipmen will be the No. 5 seed (because of their split with Lehigh) and Loyola would be the No. 6 seed.
If the Greyhounds defeat the Crusaders, Lehigh will earn the No. 4 seed (because of its sweep of Loyola) and Holy Cross will be the No. 5 seed if Navy loses – if Navy wins then the Midshipmen will be the No. 5 seed (because of their split with Loyola) and Holy Cross would be the No. 6 seed.

If the Midshipmen lose, they are the No. 6 seed.

American/Lafayette/Boston University/Colgate: If the Eagles and Leopards both win or both lose and Boston University and Colgate both lose on Wednesday Lafayette earns the No. 7 seed, because of its head-to-head with American, and American will be No. 8. If American defeats Navy and Lafayette loses to Bucknell, American is the No. 7 seed and Lafayette is the No. 8 seed.

If both the Terriers and Raiders lose on Wednesday or if both win and American and Lafayette win, Boston U. would be the No. 9 seed because of its split with Navy and Colgate would be No. 10.

If American wins, Lafayette loses, Colgate wins and Boston U. loses, the Leopards and Raiders would both be 4-14. American would No. 7 seed, Colgate would be No. 8 seed, Lafayette would be No. 9 seed, and Boston U. would be No. 10 seed.

If Boston University and American win and Lafayette and Colgate lose, the Terriers and Leopards would both be 4-14. Because Lafayette swept Boston U., the Leopards would be the No. 8 seed and the Terriers would be No. 9. American would be No. 7 and Colgate would be No. 10.

If Boston University and Lafayette win and American and Colgate lose, the Terriers and Eagles would both be 4-14. Because Boston U. has a win over Army West Point, the Terriers would be the No. 8 seed and the Eagles would be No. 9. Lafayette would be the No. 7 seed and Colgate would be No. 10.

If American, Colgate, and Lafayette all finish 4-14, there would be a three-way tie between the Eagles, Leopards, and Raiders. Since both Colgate and American would have a win over Lehigh, the RPI ratings by College Basketball News would be utilized. Lafayette would be the No. 9 seed and Boston U. would be No. 10.

If American, Colgate, and Boston University all finish 4-14, American would be the No. 8 seed, Boston University would be the No. 9 seed, and Colgate would be the No. 10 seed. Lafayette would be the No. 7 seed.

If Boston U. and Colgate win and American and Lafayette lose all four teams would be 4-14. In the four-way tie, Lafayette would be No. 7 (4-2) and Boston U. would be No. 10 (2-4). Both American and Colgate would be (3-3) so the tiebreak between the two would be RPI ratings by College Basketball News.
